Cloudchord Flips The Disco Biscuits’ “Lake Shore Drive” Into Organic House Groover

||, |,

Multi-instrumentalist and beatmaker Cloudchord has proven capable of remixing just about anything he gets his hands on. Earlier this year, we featured his vibey remix for Denver’s Sugar Nova and now he’s at once again. His latest remix is a tasty flip of The Disco Biscuits’ track “Lake Shore Drive.”

The Disco Biscuits’ iconic jamtronica sound winds up being the perfect foundation for Cloudchord’s own signature laidback beat making style. Cloudchord adds some tropical percussion and pitch-bending synths to the guitar-focused track, flipping it into a vibey organic house groover.

Here’s what Cloudchord had to say about the remix,

“For the past 2 years, I have been producing all the new material for The Disco Biscuits. We’ve talked about tasteful ways to blend the forward thinking sound design of electronic dance music with the live improvisational energy of their live performances. This remix melds the band’s hot riffs with beautiful organic dance sounds, perhaps reminiscent of acts like Bonobo. Thx for listening!”

The Disco Biscuits are in the midst of their fall tour and have already announced a string of shows to start 2024, making a return to Colorado for multi-night runs in Aspen and Boulder, including support from none other than Cloudchord, himself. Check out their tour dates here.
