The ever-changing saga of Coachella continues. After changing the date of their event four separate times since 2020, sources are telling Variety that the headliners for the already sold-out festival have been modified.
The original 2020 headliners were set to be Travis Scott, Frank Ocean, and Rage Against The Machine. It was confirmed back in August 2021 that Frank will instead be performing in 2023. Travis Scott was pulled from the lineup in November after the tragic events of Astroworld. Rage Against The Machine are now gone too, according to TMZ.
With all the original headliners now officially out, Coachella has enlisted Kanye West and Billie Eilish to headline this coming April. It’s also being reported that Swedish House Mafia are in the mix to replace Rage, but it is not confirmed if they will in fact be the third and final headliner.
With the new Covid-19 Omicron variant, we’re left to wonder if Coachella might have to postpone their festival once more. We hope that the surge has subsided by then, and Coachella can finally move forward with their festival.
