Last fall, Swedish producer, DJ Seinfeld, dropped off one of our favorite albums of 2021, Mirrors. The project was full of twists and turns, ebbs and flows, and provided a hell of a listening experience. Today, that A+ album makes its way back on site with a revitalized energy, brought to us through Mirrors (Remixed).
As if the first edition of Mirrors weren’t enough, this remixed album deserves an award of its own. Seinfeld clearly committed just as much care and attention to detail to selecting the remix roster as he did producing the original. The result brings us wildly imaginative new sounds like Themba’s Modern Africa Re-imagination of “The Right Place,” Closet Yi’s fresh breath of breakbeats on “Song For The Lonely,” or Trip Tease’s euphoric deep house version of “Home Calling.”
When asked about the remix roster Seinfeld shared:
The artists we asked to contribute to the remix package are all people I admire, respect, and believe in. I wanted to have people from a wide range of styles, some of whom have been friends of mine for 10-15 years now, and some I’ve yet to meet in person. It’s the first time someone has remixed my music and I couldn’t be happier with what I’ve heard. It just reinforced my belief that we are lucky to live in a time of so much talent and promise.
Make sure you give Mirrors (Remixed) the same time and attention you gave the OG. You won’t be disappointed. Stream DJ Seinfeld’s new album below and enjoy!
