After the conclusion of his widely acclaimed series Atlanta, Donald Glover has already taken on another show. His next television project, titled Swarm, is a “sister series” to Atlanta, Variety reports. After pitching the story to Atlanta writer and producer Janine Nabers, the duo landed the series on Amazon Prime Video.
The story will focus on a young woman who is obsessed with a pop star. “We’re really interested in creating an antihero story,” Nabers told Variety. The lead role of Dre will be played by Dominique Fishback, who perhaps is most known for her acting in Judas and the Black Messiah.
There’s no release date yet for Swarm, but we do know that the pilot is finished.
On the Childish Gambino side of things, Donald Glover promised during the Golden Globes that new music is coming.
