Occasionally, we catch wind of a collab or remix that just makes perfect sense. So when we heard that FKJ had tapped multi-talented producer Galimatias for a rework of his & Bas‘ track “Risk“, we immediately knew it would be an absolute masterpiece.
As if FKJ & Bas’ original version off FKJ’s Ylang Ylang EP, wasn’t already groovy enough, Galimatias has unlocked the full sonic potential of the incredible track with this latest offering. Highlighting Bas’ smooth, layered hook over some slow pulsing synths, G mixes wonky vocal augmentation, funky, warbling guitar & lush orchestral swells – effectively recreating “Risk” as a sort of whimsical yet melancholic fusion.
