FKJ has finally returned with his first full-length project in five years. Today he releases V I N C E N T, one of our most highly anticipated works to come in 2022. The album is 14 tracks deep and contains features from Santana, Little Dragon, and Toro y Moi.
One of our all-time favorite projects is FKJ’s debut album, French Kiwi Juice. While we were eagerly awaiting an eventual follow-up, we were very content with swimming in the smooth, tranquil sounds that FKJ created for his 2017 album (and his Ylang Ylang EP). We couldn’t be more thrilled with V I N C E N T‘s arrival, however, giving us a whole new world of his to step into, paved with beautiful instrumentation, songwriting, and irresistible, understated charisma.
According to FKJ, this new album is about “looking for a way out of the adult mind.” His music, which has always been calming, serves as an escape here. And, after listening, we’d elope with him anywhere.
