G Jones has separated himself from just about every other producer out there. He’s proven to be a master of his own rave-leaning electronic sound and has been tearing up dancefloors everywhere with his groundbreaking audio/visual live shows. Earlier this year, he dropped his bass-heavy collaboration with Eprom and is back with a doublesingle release titled “Daydreams/Which Way,” out via Illusory Records.
If his versatility wasn’t already vastly recognized, both of these tracks are a firm reminder of that. “Daydreams” is a glistening production that explores a more uplifting, melody-driven side to G Jones. “Which Way” completely changes directions to a more drum-forward, synth-heavy bass sound filled with every kind of unusual instrument you can think of. Both tracks subtly feature bits of old movie clip samples to instill a nostalgic energy in the already complex productions.
“Daydreams/Which Way” will be part of G Jones’ forthcoming album, Paths, set to release later this year. In addition to the release, he has also announced his debut headlining Red Rocks show taking place on October 15th. You can find more info on tickets here and you can stream both tracks below. Enjoy!
