Gorgon City Return With Club-Focused Fifth Studio Album ‘Reverie’

|||,

Last year was an enormous year for UK dance music heavyweights Gorgon City. From their highly acclaimed LP Salvation, to headlining shows at iconic venues like Drumsheds, Red Rocks and Brooklyn Mirage, to festival performances at Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Lollapalooza, Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott were full speed ahead. This year, after already making club-inspired music they were asked to headline the Yuma tent at Coachella which spurred the duo to create their fifth studio album, Reverie, arriving today via their own imprint REALM and Astralwerks.

Reverie is all class, and sees the talented duo flex their muscle on some insanely bold underground tunes. The previously released “All You Need” with Carolyne Byrne, “One New Change,” and “Biggest Regret” with Bbyafrika all set the tone as cornerstones for the project amassing millions of streams and giving listeners a sneak peak into this next chapter. Vocal-led “How Do You Love” with Canadian singer-songwriter Mougleta was the final single released alongside the album and is a sexy and rhythmic number that captures the overall vibe of the project. That being music to dance to in a dark club with your loved ones.

Other newcomers like the playful and ethereal “Landslide” with Poppy Baskcomb and the techno infused “Make It Happen” with DJ Pierre show Gorgon’s City dynamic ability as producers to make any and all types of banging club music. The album top to bottom has no skips and if you don’t have plans to see Gorgon City this year, you should make some.
