Kill Paris Releases Sophomore Album ‘Galaxies Within Us’

|||, ,

Kill Paris has finally graced us with his sophomore album, and it’s everything we’ve wanted and more from the multitalented artist. Following up his similarly named debut album, Galaxies Between Us, Kill Paris’ forward-thinking Galaxies Within Us covers a broad spectrum within dance music and pushes his artistry to new levels. We’ve managed to get a glimpse at the album from its three singles: “Two Minds”, “I (Still) Dream Of You”, and “Magic”, which, like the LP as a whole, blend elements of future bass, house, and more. Kill Paris’ star-studded list of collaborators seals the deal with Big Gigantic, Jimi Tents, and Fatherdude, to name a few.

Galaxies Within Us showcases Kill Paris’ talent for sound design as it effortlessly enmeshes multiple musical genres and styles with punchy instrumentation juxtaposing chilled-out aesthetics. The push-and-pull of each track is furthered by gritty synth bass and wide, melodic chords overlaying expert percussion work. In addition to the album’s singles, other noteworthy tracks that capture its vibe are “Cool Ranch”, “Vision Funk”, “Inside Out” with Tim Moyo and Kuda, and “Fizzy Lifting Drink” with Big Gigantic and Jimi Tents.

What makes this album even more special is that each of these songs were recorded in part with the use of a MIDI Sprout which converts biodata and vibrations from plants into sound. Coming off the heels of this unique release, Kill Paris is set to embark on a supporting North America tour starting February 16. Additionally, a music video for “Fizzy Lifting Drink” is due to be released soon. Check out Galaxies Within Us in full below courtesy of Monstercat and enjoy!
