Rising Producer Mass Relay Shares Expansive Freeform Bass EP ‘Artificial Catalonia’

It’s no secret that Denver has become home to some of the most talented upcoming producers and DJs in the country. Last year, we had the pleasure of announcing the launch of Timeless Music Collective, a label dedicated to amplifying underrepresented independent artists in the bass community. One of the core members, Mass Relay, has been diligently exploring his own sound with an affinity for downtempo, dubstep, neuro bass, glitch hop, and beyond. Today, we’re thrilled to welcome him to the site with the release of his brand-new EP Artificial Catalonia.

As a classically trained musician, Mass Relay is able to incorporate various live instrumentation into his electronic productions. Artificial Catalonia showcases his highly-technical instrumental and production skills over the course of three expansive tracks. From the epic, guitar-laden “To Myself,” the glitched-out harp-filled title track, or the far-reaching heavy bass-filled “Breathing Room,” Mass Relay is proving to be one of the more exciting upcoming freeform bass producers right now.

In addition to his forward-thinking productions, Mass Relay is making noise in the live music circuit with his captivating hybrid-live style performances. You can stream “Artificial Catalonia” below. Enjoy!
