“It’s time for me to enter the most dialed in era of my career,” Rezz shared in an Instagram post two days ago while announcing her next album, As The Pendulum Swings. Set to arrive this fall, following 2023’s IT’S NOT A PHASE EP and 2024’s CAN YOU SEE ME?, this project marks a new era for the bass hypnotist defined by a self-assured vision in her always impressive audio-visual art. Today, we take one step closer to the album with the release of her latest single, “Prophecy.”
Only a few months after debuting her new Portal stage production and initiating the start of this new era, Rezz’s “Prophecy” arrives as an entrancing and industrial number that will serve as the opening track on As The Pendulum Swings. The track carries Rezz’s signature shadowy and lulling sound but at slightly above mid-tempo giving it some nice rhythm to move to. The track officially follows recent releases “Contorted” and “Telepathy” as the third single off the album. If Rezz wasn’t ‘dialed in’ before she most certainly is now.
