RL Grime is the king of Halloween, as he’s proven with his annual Halloween mix series over the past twelve years. The trap legend is already having himself one heck of a year, dropping his groundbreaking 3-part album PLAY last month.
Now, we have Halloween XII on our hands and you might want to hold on to your hats for this one. This year’s mix is introduced by RL Grime himself for the first time after he jokingly states that “we couldn’t get anyone famous to do it.” But that didn’t stop him from bringing the absolute heat from start to finish.
Each RL Grime mix has become more and more versatile. And as we’ve seen from his most recent album, he’s become much more comfortable experimenting with genres other than trap, including techno, drum & bass, dubstep, hip-hop, and more.
Halloween XII features a bunch of unreleased IDs from his Sable Valley roster, including some music from Deadcrow, Sublab, Oddly Godly, and more. We’re also treated to some glimpses from the PLAY remix album which is sure to follow not long after today.
