Few rap performances have as much hype as the supercharged duo, Run The Jewels. It’s been quite some time since we’ve been able to see them live, but we’ll be able to catch a full-length performance from Killer Mike and El-P when they take over Adult Swim on October 10.
The duo will be performing the entirety of their latest album, RTJ4, which is absolutely at the top of our list for hip-hop releases this year. The performance aims to encourage voter turnout. Both El-P and Killer Mike especially have always been very vocal when it comes to politics. We’re happy to see they’re doing what they can to help get the younger voters to the polls.
According to a press release, the show is sponsored by Ben & Jerry’s, and will not be interrupted by any ads. We can’t wait to see how this one turns out.
With some help from @BenandJerrys, we’re celebrating your right to vote by doing our first-ever performance of #RTJ4 on @AdultSwim – October 10. Pledge to vote this November by texting RTJ2020. Plot. Plan. Strategize. Organize. Mobilize. #HolyCalamavote pic.twitter.com/g3HmLfKP5O
