A few weeks ago, Sam Gellaitry announced that he will be uploading new unreleased beats every Wednesday. Needless to say, it’s been three weeks, and Wednesday is now our favorite day. Following his last, six-minute, dance-forward upload, “wuhei.wav,” Sam flexes his sample-spinning prowess with his newest, short-but-sweet tune, “anybody.wav.”
Sam nonchalantly releases each beat by posting a Youtube link to the track on Twitter – he prefers to let the fans do the talking, and boy do they have a lot to say. “anybody.wav” finds Sam effortlessly flipping a soul-infused sample into a groovy bop. Combining a trap beat over the retro sounds of the original tune, Sam arrives at a unique blend that his fans simply cannot get enough of.
So far, each track Sam has shared in this weekly series has allowed a new side of his production and writing styles to shine. We can’t wait to see what he shares next.
