One of hyper pop’s most exciting acts, 100 gecs, have announced a new album, 10,000 gecs, set for a release date next spring, March 17. Alongside the announcement, the duo also released a new EP, titled Snake Eyes, which includes a new collaboration with superstar DJ/producer, Skrillex.
The collab is titled “Torture Me,” and while it does mostly lend its sound to hyper pop, Skrillex gets some wompy stabs and growls in there. In fact, he seems to takeover the last 25 seconds of the track with some classic Skrill sounds that fans will definitely recognize
10,000 gecs will be the first 100 gecs album in four years. Skrillex announced he was working on finishing his albums earlier this year. It’s been nearly a decade since his last full length LP, Recess.
You can listen to “Torture Me” by 100 gecs and Skrillex below. Enjoy!
