Skrillex & Noisia to Release One Final Track Together

||, |

While the saga of Noisia, one of electronic music’s most storied trios, appears to be finally coming to an end, there is still reason to celebrate. Today, members Nik, Thijs, and Matijn have officially announced the final Noisia project. It’s an album titled Closer, and it will contain 20 new tracks from Noisia and collaborators such as Two Fingers, Camo & Krooked, and even Skrillex.

There are some tracks on this final Noisia album that have been previously released, however “Horizon,” with Skrillex, has yet to be heard anywhere. This has us unbelievably excited to hear some heavier sounds from Skrill, who’s been mainly dabbling in pop-leaning music recently. Also, in case you forgot, the last Skrillex and Noisia collab was actually amazing.

Here’s what Noisia has to say about their farewell project:

After Outer Edges we were trying to find a new direction for Noisia. This resulted in an extensive journey that took us through a lot of new ideas and music.

Although we eventually decided to stop, we are proud of the things we made along the way, and these tunes were always meant to be part of a larger whole. So before we finally close the book on Noisia, we wanted to share them with you, on one last album. Previously released or newly finished, they all represent directions we enjoyed exploring.

In the end, we didn’t manage to figure things out. But we did get closer.

Closer is available to pre-order here. It’s set to drop on May 12, just a couple of weeks away. You can check out the full tracklist below.
