Spencer Brown & Qrion Deliver Sultry Tribal Single “20ms”

||, , |,

Hot off the heels of his immaculate summertime single earlier this month, Spencer Brown is back with another progressive house banger. This time he recruits his longtime friend Qrion for the alluring tune “20ms,” out now via diviine.

This song is a hazy mirage filled with pulsing beats and exotic percussion textures. The synth that winds its way through the track is actually a happy accident. Messing around with the knobs of the Korg MS-20 (where the song evidently takes its title from) – a new piece of equipment for both artists – resulted in the hypnotic synth line that we hear.

While we often hear about collaborations made by artists who have never met, that’s not the case with  Brown and Qrion. Here’s what Brown had to say about their friendship:

“Qrion and I have incredible chemistry in the studio because of our deep friendship; we always work in the same room, never online. When we are making tracks, it feels like we are casually hanging out, not sitting down with any intentions. “20ms” perfectly captures our playfulness in the studio.”

“20ms” is the second single off Brown’s upcoming album Equanimity, which is slated for a fall release. Until then, you can listen to “20ms” below. Enjoy!
