If you wanted to take a tour around San Francisco with Chaz Bear, you can now do so via the video for the new Toro y Moi single, “The Loop.” This is the third track we’ve heard from the band’s upcoming album Mahal, which is sounding groovier than ever.
Perhaps the time spent in San Francisco is having an effect on Toro y Moi’s sound, as “The Loop” is radiating with carefree, psychedelic pop vibes. The track’s concept depicts having your head stuck in the clouds—and having the awareness to come down and keep yourself “in the loop” every now and then. The breezy sound matches up perfectly with the songwriting here.
Toro y Moi’s Mahal is due out on acclaimed indie label Dead Ocean on April 29.
