We’re loving every single thing that Channel Tres has been up to lately. We recently gushed over his most recent single, “Black Sexy Timberlake,” which is part of the rollout of his forthcoming Black Moses EP. Today he returns with a remix of another funky, out-of-the-box genre-blending artist, Toro y Moi.
Channel Tres’s remix of “Who I Am” flips the track on its head, but still keeps the slick, spacey, and bubbly vibe that Toro y Moi brought. Channel Tres makes it his own with his own vocals, irresistibly groovy bass lines, and other subtle alterations.
The duo clearly have good chemistry, and it makes sense why Toro would choose Channel Tres to come on tour with him. Something tells me we’re going to see some more of these two together in the future.
