Today Tycho put out a deluxe edition of his seminal 2016 album Epoch, featuring remixes of his iconic tracks from Luttrell, Poolside, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and Heathered Pearls. This release comes as we eagerly anticipate Tycho’s new album coming this year. He has been sharing snippets of his process on social media, including stunning pictures of his own studio, synths, and instruments that only make us more confident the end result will be beautiful. Most recently Tycho dropped his first single in over two years called “Jetty”, an expertly layered electronic track that is a guaranteed mood lifter.
The remixes on Epoch (Deluxe Edition) range from energetic electronica to ambient soundscapes. Poolside deliver an undeniably funky take on “Horizon”, Luttrell transforms “Epoch” into a melodic house masterpiece, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith adds lush ambient synths to “Division”, and Heathered Pearls turns “Division” into a meditative house jam.
