Brasstracks have been keeping busy this winter, warming up New York City with a mix of vibrant, chill, and soulful tracks. Just before the holidays they dropped a gentle, melancholic track “Snowdaze” that contrasted the high-energy R&B and hip hop they’ve been dropping since summer. Their collab with Pell “Vibrant” lived up to its name by delivering a bass heavy production with live horns and drums, and their 7-track cover of Kendrick Lamar’s album good kid, m.A.A.d city called Good Kid, Brass City was a fun, brass-filled take on the legendary LP.
Now Brasstracks have linked up with vocalist R.LUM.R for a bouncing new single to start of the year called “I’m Alright”. From the production to the lyrics this track radiates positivity. Rolling snares and funky beats underpin R.LUM.R’s voice as he soars on the hook and chorus. Brasstracks’ signature horns echo the vocals as they climb up and down the track, giving the track an undeniably addictive quality. Enjoy!
