Surely eager at a proper chance to show off their smash album Dreamland, Glass Animals have done what they do best—gotten creative. “Live In The Internet” will be a one-off virtual reimagining of their electric live show. The show will take place October 15, featuring the full band and some special guests, and offering creative opportunities for fan interaction.
Frontman Dave Bayley had this to say about the upcoming show:
Gaming and social media have pioneered the way people do this and how people enjoy the internet. I think there’s a way to pull some of that cleverness into a streamed music event. So, we’re going to try to do something with that in mind, instead of just performing live to a totally empty room. We did that like every day on our first tour when we started the band, and it’s really not so fun!”
Glass Animals have put on some stellar performances of tracks “Heat Waves” for The Late Show and “Tangerine” on the Late Late Show, so we’re sure that this energetic young band will be dialed in with some dope visuals and a full set of songs. We’re looking forward to hearing some live versions of tracks from their wondrous album Dreamland. Mark your calendars for October 15!
