Kevin Parker Teases New Tame Impala Album

||, |

We might not have to wait much longer for the next Tame Impala album. It may have taken five years between 2015’s Currents and 2020’s The Slow Rush, but according to a new interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Kevin Parker mentioned that he could have “another Tame Impala album done sooner than what has been the pattern.”

In the interview, Kevin Parker continues to talk about how making music is really all he’s ever doing:

I’m always making music, that’s kind of all I know how to do. Me, day to day, doing what I do, I’m just here in the studio by myself. There could be an apocalypse going on outside, and it probably wouldn’t affect it.

Given how much he’s in the studio, it sounds like he could have something ready for us soon.

Near the end of the 2021, Parker announced that he would be releasing The Slow Rush Deluxe, which would contain two new B-Sides and four remixes. That’s dropping at the end of this week, February 18. He dropped the first of the two B-Sides, “No Choice,” in December.
