Kaytranada could be sitting on yet another all-star caliber collab. A video surfaced on Instagram Wednesday afternoon that showed Kaytranada playing out a never-before-heard track. As the crowd gets down, he hops on the mic and says, “Childish Gambino, y’all!”
Based on the unmistakeably groovy production and Kaytranada’s possession of the track, we’re safely speculating that this is a new collab between himself and Childish Gambino.
Kaytranada did the same thing not too long ago, except with Anderson .Paak on top of the beat. Both were played out at what appeared to be intimate, low-key parties that Kay was playing. He recently tweeted that the Paak track would drop soon, but he’s since deleted it.
Childish Gambino music is very hard to come by right now. The last number he dropped was a remix for Brittany Howard last year. In March, he said he was “making a lot of music.” With season four (the final season) of Atlanta arriving in September, Donald Glover’s plate may have just gotten a little bit lighter. Perhaps he could use that bandwidth to focus on his music project.
