Flume Drops New Innovative Melodic Single “Let You Know” Ft. London Grammar

||, |, ,

Flume is already back with more new music! The Aussie favorite had quite the comeback earlier this year with his epic 17-track mixtape Hi This Is Flume. The release has been on repeat for me ever since it dropped with his experimental style on full display. Since this long-awaited return, he’s been much more active than he has in past years. He quickly followed it up with “Friends” featuring Reo Cragun, showing us that his most recent mixtape was just the start.

Hannah and I wrote Let You Know last summer. I was on a writing trip to London, was actually the same trip where I first met slowthai. Had been wanting to make something with Hannah for a long time and this one just came together really naturally in the studio that day! -Harley

From there he did a surprise AMA where he said we can expect regular releases from him again. Then he let fans know we can expect “more shows and more music to come” just before announcing Red Rocks as his only headline show (aside from festivals) in North America this year.

Then the cryptic posts started, putting fans in a whirlwind of excitement. He posted a picture with a couple goats on IG and tagged them, with one of the profiles saying “Hay This Is Goat (Mixtape) out 6.21.19” heavily alluded to the fact we can expect something from him this June. Fans followed his every move creating some absurd conspiracies including a prediction that he’s planning to release a new mixtape for every season this year.

A change to the Spotify visualizer on his music started displaying some artwork with the number 2, creating hype that his second mixtape of the year was indeed coming soon. With the drop of “Let You Know” today, we are nearly certain that we’ll be getting a new summer mixtape from Flume.

The brand new single features London Grammar on vocals, and as you can imagine, it’s another brilliant track from Flume. We can’t wait to see what else he’s sitting on. His style is so easily distinguishable among much of the music we hear today. Simply genius.
